Professional activities help me to have better and rich skills. Present an initiative and responsibility model of teacher trainees. It affects my development as a teacher and increases my proficiency in the future. In this section, I will be discussing how I have taken my professional development. I included the professional development plan for this semester. Where it provides an analysis of the set goals in each teaching competences and the used strategies in the classroom. Finally, I will be including any samples of teaching materials that indicate the development.
The professional development plan is a list of goals with action steps to accomplish the key objectives. A professional development plan helps us to obtain specific insights into the career which lead future aspirations. It's very essential to have a plan that contains your skills and actionable procedures that will guide you to achieve your goals. The professional plan should be linked to testable actions that will be taken in terms of weaknesses and the areas that need to be developed. By identifying your goals in the PDP, you will gain a true understanding of the way to navigate the actions and the implementation. In this semester I have updated and expanded my previous goals into five goals linked to the teaching competences. Unfortunately, only three goals were achieved, because of the sudden circumstances and decisions regarding the emerging coronavirus (COVID - 19). The rest of the duration of training has been suspended, the school has transferred to the distance learning, which makes it difficult to collect sufficient evidence and implement the established actions.
